This year it was the 10th time when OpenCV participated in Google Summer of Code program (GSoC 2020), and it went really well!
GSoC is an international program organized and sponsored by Google. It’s aimed at supporting students development and advancing various open-source projects. In 2020 OpenCV got funding for 14 projects. For three months, some of the best students worked on those projects under the supervision of our great mentors.
Most of the results have been already integrated and became a part of OpenCV 4.5.0; few ones are still pending pull requests and will be included into OpenCV 5.0. The students have also prepared short video reports, and for your information and entertainment we’ve combined them into one summary video clip. Enjoy!
