We are happy to announce that this year OpenCV is becoming a part of Google Summer of Code 2021. So we are looking for interns to participate in GSoC who want to help improve the OpenCV library. For an overview, see the OpenCV page on the official Summer of Code website.
What is the Google Summer of Code?
GSoC is a program that allows students to practice skills in real projects, make their own contribution into technology-related organizations and join these communities. Like the other organizations, OpenCV provides mentors who help to realize and implement ideas within the internship. According to the GSOC application process for students, the idea is to get students involved in the open source community and introduce them to it.
How Can I Apply?
If you want to apply for OpenCV Internship, here’s what you need to do:
- Go the GSoC_2021 Github repository to see the list of the projects and mentors as well as a detailed schedule
- Join the Google Group to communicate with the mentors
