Please follow the netiquette when posting to OpenCV mailing lists, especially avoid top-posting and thread hijacking (replying to a thread and changing the subject line to something completely unrelated). Configuring your mail client to break lines after 70 or so characters is a significant enhancement. If you attach files, avoid compressing small files — in this case, uncompressed are much handier. Also please try to avoid posting emails with unreasonably long signatures, irrelevant jokes or nonsense corporate disclaimers about confidentiality of your emails.
opencv-user: This list is for user questions, but it is preferable to use OpenCV Q&A forum.
opencv-dev: This list is mainly for OpenCV developers.
